Terms of Service

Ascension is a personal nutrition + coaching app. Use it lawfully and treat it as a tool, not a doctor. We'll do our best to make it useful and reliable. We're not liable if life throws you a curveball.

By creating an account or using Ascension, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• If you're under 18, your parent or guardian agrees on your behalf.
• You provide accurate info during signup (we calculate your targets from it).
• One human, one account.

Ascension is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice. The macros, recommendations, and coach replies are educational — they are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, or other qualified professional.

• Talk to your doctor before making meaningful diet, exercise, or supplement changes — especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or have a history of disordered eating.
• If something the coach says sounds off, trust your professional over the AI.
• In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

You may use Ascension for personal, non-commercial use to:

• Track your own meals, hydration, weight, and habits.
• Chat with the AI coach about your own data.
• Save and recall your own meal templates.

• Use Ascension to harm yourself or others.
• Resell, redistribute, or attempt to clone the service.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack our infrastructure.
• Use Ascension to violate any law or third-party right.
• Impersonate someone else or share your account.

Everything you log — meals, weights, conversations — is yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to deliver the service. We don't use your data to train public AI models and we don't sell it.

If you delete your account, we delete your content within 30 days.

Ascension, the brand, the marks, the app design, the protocols shaped by Greg Lacy, and the underlying code are ours. You may not copy them outside of personal in-app use.

We're actively building Ascension. Features will be added, removed, or changed. If we make a material change to free features (something you relied on goes away), we'll give you reasonable notice.

The base food-tracking experience is free. Optional paid upgrades (coming) will be clearly priced and cancellable in one click. If billing is added, payment will go through Stripe and follow their terms.

You can stop using Ascension any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that puts other users or our infrastructure at risk.

Ascension is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We can't guarantee specific health outcomes, that the AI will always give correct nutritional info, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascension, its founder, and its contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid Ascension in the prior 12 months — or $50 if you paid nothing.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Ascension is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in that jurisdiction.
