Privacy Policy

You own your data. We don't sell it. We don't train public AI models on it. You can export or delete everything at any time. What follows is the long version, in plain English.

• Account info — name, email, age, and any profile data you enter (sex, height, weight, goal).
• Logged data — meals, food items, hydration, supplements, weight entries, habits, and the conversations you have with your coach.
• Usage data — which days you opened the app (used for streaks), basic device info needed to render the app, and crash reports if you opt in.

We do not collect location, contacts, browsing history, or anything unrelated to running Ascension.

• To provide the service you signed up for.
• To personalize your coach's responses (your meals, weight trend, hydration, etc. are passed to the AI as context for each chat turn).
• To debug and improve the product, in aggregate.

We use a small number of trusted services to run Ascension. Each one is covered by their own privacy practices.

• Supabase — stores your account, food log, and related data. Hosted in the United States.
• Anthropic (Claude) — powers the AI coach. When you send a message, your message and the relevant context (today's macros, streak, etc.) are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. Anthropic does not train on your data.
• Vercel — hosts the app and serves it from their global edge network.

We never sell your data, share it for advertising, or pass it to third parties beyond what's needed to deliver the service.

You can, at any time:

• Export your data — email us at hello@ascensionapp.site and we'll send you a JSON archive within 7 days.
• Delete your account — delete it from Settings, or email us. Deletion is immediate and removes every meal, chat, photo, and profile detail. Backups are purged within 30 days.
• Correct inaccurate data — most fields are user-editable directly in the app; for anything else, email us.
• Withdraw consent — stop using the service or delete your account.

• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
• Database access is scoped per-user via row-level security — your data is invisible even to other authenticated Ascension users.
• We don't store payment info ourselves; if billing is added later, it'll go through Stripe (PCI-compliant).

Ascension is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, contact us and we'll delete it.

If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and notify active users by email. Continuing to use Ascension after a change means you accept it.
